When I try to access my internet provider (CompuServe) the
process goes as far as step 5,"talking to network", and
then stops. The connection is maintained but the program
then redials the next connection no. on my list of
connections, again get to the same point in the process
and stops again. I have spoken to both CompuServe and Dell
with no success. I have downloaded (on a different
computer) and installed the MS "Blaster" patch. I have
also installed and run McAfee's "Stinger" program, which
should have cleaned out a possible worm infection.

At this point I need serious help. Has anyone else run
into this? How can I fix it?
