XP freezing

Not running on battery and all power settings set to never

I had exactly the same problem although not on a lap top.Sought advice and
received this reply from a UK computer magazine site.Tried it and it seems
to work up to present.May not solve your problem though.There seem to be a
lot of complaints of XP freezing.
