I put this on last night but never saw my message on the
board.

I was wondering if it is possible to retrive desktop
launch. I deleted it from my hard disk and can't find a
different one in my Windows XP.

Also does anyone know how to reinstall Windows XP without
formating the hard drive.

Hi Bill,

"Desktop launch"? You mean the "show desktop" icon? If this is what you
want, follow the instructions below, if not please expalin yourself a bit
better. Tr create new "show desktop" icon, open notepad, copy/paste in these
lines:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=EXPLORER.EXE,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Click file/"save as" and call it "show desktop.scf". Save to the desktop,
you can do whatever you want with it from there.
