Since replacing a failed motherboard with RAID I need to
know how to reinstall windows xp pro.

I have tried but after the OS momentarily starts the
system reboots and goes round in circles momentarily
starting the OS again and then rebooting again.

Anyone with ideas why this is happening?

Make sure you specify the controller driver with F6

Insert win xp cd and restart computer.
Boot to the cd.
Re boot using Win xp cd and follow instruction on screen.
Format Drive C: to have a clean drive for win XP (NTFS)
