I have some problems with XP Home and would like to reformat and clean install XP Home..I have all my files backed-up on disk. Could someone give a old 65 year old computor dummy step by step instructions how to completely clean out the computor and reloa

Keep you next child, please.....

Anyhow, how you do this depends on what you have. For a regular retail
version of WinXP, you should boot the CD and follow the new installation
prompts. If you have a preinstalled system with recovery disks, you should
follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered
the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of
the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of
boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
