Day and Date Pop-up

(tried in XP General 5/7, but no reply)

The pop-up window showing the day and date, will not display as the mouse
pointer hovers over the clock. Only the top of the pop-up shows above the
clock. When this occurs, I can make it display correctly by Start/Turn off
Computer/Cancel. This new "setting" is only retained for about 24 hours and
then reverts back to it's old ways.

Is there a way to get this pop-up to activate correctly each time?

No, this is a bug in Windows XP: the popups sometimes lay behind the
Taskbar. As you already found out, you can solve this by restarting
Windows (loggin off/on may also help).
