Recovery Console & Admin Pwrd

I am trying to use Recovery Console. When I am prompted
which system do I want to logon to, eg.
1 C:\WINDOWS
do I type 1 THEN the Admin Password THEN press enter?
If no Admin Password has been set, do I simply type 1
<enter>? The instructions in the KB are a bit vague on
this point.

the 1 refers to the Windows installation. If you have a parallel
isntallation of XP, (dual-boot), 2 entries are displayed, In that case press
1 or 2. to enter into recovery console (of that particular Xp installation)
