entering setup

I have a brand new dell computer with windows XP Pro. I
would like to get into setup to change the NUM LOCK to be
on at startup but can't see where to do it. Any help
would be appreciated.

Hi,

Go to: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY CURRENT USER\Control Panel\Keyboard\
InitialKeyboardIndicators

0 = numberlock off
2 = numberlock on

If you want the numlock on at the welcome screen you also need to change:

HKEY USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard\
InitialKeyboardIndicators same number values as above.

Or...

Set Numlock State On or Off at Startup (Line 4)
