View Full Version : Copy and past

I would like to take some information from a prior
posting and include it in the new post.
How can I cut and paste or copy to a new post?
Eveytime I highlight something to copy, and right click,
all of the text becomes unhightlighted.
Thanks
Kevin

Make sure when you do the right click that you do it on the highlighted text
and not on the white part of the post.

Are you for real? Are you really so stupid as to need such basic lessons? It
amazes me that the gorvernment let ****wits like you loose on computers. You
should be neutered so that you can't breed.

Joyce,
Please forgive Perdita. Some days her medication isn't always effective, or
somebody leaves the attic unlocked and ,well, anyway....
The point is even simple things can be tricky if you don't do them quite
correctly. But you tried to find out rather than settling for not knowing or
thinking it was beyond you.
In that way newsgroups are a brilliant invention.
Why, in a few months you'll be as skilled and cynical as the some of the
others.
But hopefully in a good way ;)

In cases where mouse clicks don't seem to work keyboard shortcuts usually
do.
Use the mouse to highlight the required text then use the following key
combinations. (hold down both keys at the same time)
Ctrl C to copy
Ctrl X to cut
Ctrl V to paste (when pasting place the mouse pointer where you want the
pasted text to appear and left click once to make that the "insertion
point.")

Perdita, excuse me it amazes me that the government lets
people like you talk such foul language when someone is
in need of help, I will pray for you.

Hi Joyce,
When you perform the right-click, is your cursor within the highlighted
section of text? If you right click outside of the highlighted section, the
selected (highlighted) text becomes unselected.

I thank ALL of you that responded with help. As for the
stupid, foul-mouthed retard, you would think he could
find something better to do rather than trying to
downgrade others.
I have learned just to ignore these type of people.
I enjoy and learn from going through the questions and
answers for people who have COMPUTER problems and NOT
PSYCHOTIC problems.
Thanks to all.
