Is it possible to downgrade from XP to ME? If so how?
I have Windows XP and it is a piece of crap and I would
like to know if it is possible to install an additional
harddrive and have it operate on Windows98?

You'll have to do a clean install of ME unless you both a) had it on your
hard drive and did an upgrade install, and b) when doing the upgrade
selected the option to allow uninstall.
You can do a multi-boot, but if you want to have both ME and 98, you'll need
to use a third party boot manager.

An operating system is only as good as the person using it. If this is a new
system, then you can kiss the warranty goodbye - manufacturers won't support
a system where the OS has been changed.

The warranty would be made Invalid by doing that.

Greetings --
If you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup the
old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, then all
you need do is boot into Safe Mode and Start > Control Panel >
Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions _must_ be met for the
uninstall option to be available.

Before proceeding, though, you'd better take a few minutes to see
if there are any WinMe device drivers available for the machine.
There may not be, if the PC was apparently designed for WinXP. Also,
check with the PC vendor to determine whether or not replacing the
pre-installed OS will void your warranty and/or any service
agreement(s), as usually the case.
