Hi,
Windows explorer keeps closing when I use thumbnail view
or slideshow view, with the message
"MS Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error.
C:\windows\explorer.exe"
Any ideas??

Is this on a specific folder containing media files or pictures? If so
you probably have a bad one and when explorer tries to look in it for
details (eg Artist; picture resolution); the corruption is such as to
cause the crash. If you can identify the file extension (a good guess
would be AVI) then - taking that as example - run regedit.exe open to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shel lex
Use File - Export on it so you could restore, then open further to
see Property Handler and delete that key
