deleting unwanted installed updates

I want to delete the update involving blocking of
software not compatible with XP. I can't even use my
digital Camera now!!

Hi Jacki,

Uninstallable updates (not all are) can be removed by selecting the
associated hotfix under Add & Remove in the Control Panel. What update are
you thinking blocked use of some programs?

When the rest of the universe catches up to you (about 5 years from
now) then it will work.

In other words....set your date and time to the correct ones and it
will work.
