Login Screen (new email msg)

My login screen shows that I have 3 new messages (and the
email addy their attached to), however, I have checked my
email, emptied the deleted, have nothing in drafts or any
other folder, only emails in the In box and none of them
are new. Anyone know how I can clear this message?
