Start up sound after logon

Hi,

Tried everything to stop the start up sound after I log on, including
disabling all sounds in the sound schemes folder.

Any ideas?

If installed, check the setting of the sound card's mixer. For example, the
Creative's Mixer has a setting for playing a thunder sound at startup.
