View Full Version : System 32 Window

Have started to get a "System 32" window appearing just
after the desktop is filled in on startup of XP Home
Edition. Have the latest level of XP as of a week ago.
The window states "These files are hidden". Just click
on "X" and it goes away with no further problem. How can
I tell XP basically, don't show this screen on startup?
Thanks, Joe

Start/Run/control folders/View/Uncheck Restore previous folder windows

Taurian,
Thanks for the response. Went through your "Start---run,
etc." procedure and the restore previous folder window at
logon was already off. Went to the 170086 doc and found
not problem. Finally, went to the kellys-korner site and
downloaded the script file as per your live 260
suggestion. IT WORKED! Thanks a lot.
