I sent my wav file to the recyle bin by mistake and
emptied it and now have no sound when turning my computer
off & on and other applications that use wav have no
sound either. How do I get the wav file back? Thank you.

Are you sure you sent the .wav files to the recycle bin rather than
just turning off the sounds? On my computer they're located in
c:\windows\media.

Kelly has a fix to restore default sounds, but I imagine that assumes
they're still on the hard drive. Line 6, left:

(If you have a full install disk, you can likely get them there.)

Where did my sounds go?
