Hello folks,
I installed sbc yahoo dsl today and the folks at sbc
helped me to configure outlook express and set up my
email account. Everything works fine except when I close
OE and reopen it, I consistently get the logon box that
asks for my password. That box also has an option called
"remember my password" however, it is greyed out and I
cannot put a check in that box. Consequently, each time I
close out and reopen, I get the logon box. It is very
frustrating. Can anyone suggest a fix for this?
Thanks very much

Hello,

Have you tried going directly to OE // tools ; select , accounts ,
mail (default) , click properties then select servers, fill out your
info there. I have no problem, mine logs in without further
requests. Of course
this would mean that anyone could get your mail if your account on your
PC is not password protected. This info was on my XP system. My older
win98
and win2k pro work the same way..

Good Luck,
e-mail is a dummy. reply to group only

Dave

I might be misreading your post. In Outlook Express select File, =
Identities, Manage Identities and Properties. Has the box before require =
a password been checked?

Hope this helps.
