I just looked up "copy of a floppy disk" and see that the directions
instruct you to use File> Copy Disk to get started. When I tried it, I
found I had to select File> 3 1/2 Floppy > Copy Disk. From there,
everything worked as expected.

This process of copying floppy disk to floppy disk has always been a little
slow and it is clumsy. An alternate method that works a little smoother
(less chance for errors during copying):

Copy the disk contents from floppy #1 to a folder on the hard drive. Then
insert another floppy and copy the contents from the folder on the hard
drive to floppy disk #2.

When you are done copying, check the files on the new floppy to confirm
that they have copied successfully. May even want to test a few by double
clicking on them to be sure that they open without a problem. (Should do
this no matter what method of copy you use).

When finished, delete the folder on the hard drive.
