Printing problems

I have a Compaq7500 computer with windowsxp home edition
and i have a HP3320 printer i'am having trouble getting
printer to set up and just getting started I have it
pluggee in right and have new tri-color #28 ink
cartridge. I had it installed once about 3 month's ago
and now can't get it installed. I know printer is not
have windows logo on it, but it worked before . Any help
would be appreciated. I have verizon dsl-msn8 service.

What is happening when you try to connect the printer to the PC?

How are you connecting it to the PC?

Are you downloading new software from the HP website and installing it
BEFORE you connect the printer?

Are you UNINSTALLING before re-installing?
