Hey all,

I have a pretty funky boot configuration due to some experiments I was
running with booting linux and windows 2000 in addition to windows xp. I
have a 400 mb partition before my primary partition which now has Windows XP
on it. Anyways, I wound up deleting Windows 2000 and my distro of linux,
and I had just windows xp booting on its own loader. I now wanted to delete
the 400 mb partition that I was using as a boot partition, but when I set my
XP partition ( second partition on the hard drive ) to active, I forgot to
copy the NTLDR and other boot files necessary before I changed the active
partition. Is there any way to get them back from the XP cd when I go into
the recovery console?

Actually, I had already tried that and it didn't work. However, I didn't
format the first partition on the driver after I had deactivated it, so the
requisite files were still there and I was able to use the repair console to
copy files from that drive. Thank-you for your input nonetheless.
