You probably remember that I told you that in order to copy an email then
paste it into Microsoft Word to clean it up, I had to first open Microsoft
Word. You said you didn't have to do that, and Greg's computer doesn't
require it either.

I posted another inquiry in a newsgroup, and got the following two answers:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---
am not sure which, but one of the updates for Word fixed it:
http://office.microsoft.com/OfficeUpdate/default.aspx?displaylang=EN
"Check for updates" on left side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--
Mine does exactly the same thing. I have all the updates. Get used to it,
like I did.

Ain't that a kick in the butt? To do an update I need the CD for Word, but
I don't have it. I didn't get one when they installed Word. It was
installed separately after I found out that spell check wouldn't work with
my old version. I'm going to stop by the shop to see if they can scrounge
on up for me.

Big rain last night--still raining some today. Also, it has been really
nice weather for the past week or so.

Nothing wild or entertaining going on here. That is, unless one considers
the information about another seventy billion or more dollars it's going to
take to cover the expenses of the Iraq mess. I strongly suspect that there
will be a request for additional funds in the years to come before we are
bled dry from a financial standpoint.

Better quit before I get really stirred up. Send any goodies that you run
across. hd

Why do you have to use Word? Just create a new message cut
& and paste it there, clean it up, then paste it back.
