everytime i try to open word i get a message that word
has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have
reinstalled word several times but keep getting the same
message everytime i try to open word. can any one help?

Sure - post to the correct group for a start. This group deals with issues
concerning Windows XP of which Word is not a part. Please repost in an
appropriate group.
