Ok guys,.... I'm exhausted with this PC but searched out the info that
when a blank CD is put in the CD drive a window is supposed to open up -
and you can use that WXP software to burn your backup files. NO WINDOW
opens, nothing happens when I insert a blank CD. I can't so a search for
this SW as it doesn't have a name. How do I find it?

I'm very frustrated with W-XP. I never had these problems with 95 and 98.
Another aggravation is the helpfiles NEVER cover the problems - they just
tell you what is supposed to happen. >:-( They never tell you what to
do when it DOESN'T HAPPEN!

TIA

FS..... how is the WXP burner program located or found????

The burner softare is built in Windows Explorer.
To burn files to Cd, make sure the CD Recording option is enable via
System control panel (or Properties of My COmputer).
Open My Computer, double click the icon for your CDR/RW drive. Copy
and paste the files into this window.
Then click on 'Burn files to CD' in the Tasks on left hand side.
