Hi,

How can I get Internet Explorer to autoconnect to the web
when I click the desktop icon, like I can with Netscape?
And, how do I get it to prompt to disconnect when I close
out of IE like Netscape does? I have "always dial my
default . . ." checked, but it doesn't help.

Thanks.
Chris

In IE\ tools \ internet options \ connections tab
Check "dial whenever a network connection is not present"
apply\okay your way out.

That one is a bit more iffy, but also in the connections tab:
settings \ advanced
"disconnect when connect may no longer be needed".

Hi Maureen,

Nope. Neither hint works. That's what's so frustrating. Is
there a registry tweak that's needed?

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Chris
