backing up outlook and outlook express

Hi,
I have to format my hard drive and i want to be able to
keep my emails, addresses, and everything from outlook
and outlook express.
I have in the past been able to with windows 98 but the
settings have changed in xp.

go to file, export to save your address book and messages to a new folder on
your drive somewhere, then burn that folder to a CD. To save your account
settings, go to tools, accounts, and use the export function once again.
After rebuilding your hard drive just import everything back into your mail
program.
