You did not mention it but you probably had an attachment with the extension SCR. Maybe
DATA.SCR or BODY.SCR.

It may or may not be or contain a virus. It could easily have
been written in a font that you don't have installed, such as Chinese,
Japanese, or even Cryllic. However, if it's not something you
expected to receive, from someone you know, what does it matter? All
such emails should be deleted as a matter of principle (and safe hex).

Assuming that this is the body of the message, not an attachment,
it's probably a message written in a language that doesn't use
the English alphabet---Chinese or Russian, for example.

A possible clue is the E-mail address of the sender. The
characters at the end can indicate the country of origin.

Try viewing it with a differnet encoding. At the top of your open Internet Explorer window you will see view if you place your cursor on that and click you will open a drop down list. In that list is the word encoding. Now place your cursor there and you w
ill see that you can choose your encoding and by placing the cursor on "more" a long list will open. This may or may not be what happened. It maybe the sender is using a differnet encoding. Good luck.
