May be you don't know, Victor D,
but at www.hp. com said that the only driver for
the deskjet 720c is on the WinXP cd.
There is no other driver at www.hp.com !!

That is why I pointed out that web site, so it could give you information on
where to get a driver!
Your original question quoted: "Where can I find the driver for the above
printer." You did not give any detail what so ever about what operating
system you have and what compatable driver you already had. Based on the
little detail you gave that was what I went on to help you.

Read the document that's on the hp site. To paraphrase it, hp is no longer
supporting this printer. There is a "basic" driver already available in WinXP.
Directions for installing this from the WinXP CD are on the hp site (this should
not be necessary; it should already be available through the Add Printer
wizard). The problem you MAY encounter is that the basic driver may not provide
all of the printer features formerly available with the Win9x drivers (e.g.,
duplex printing). The only way to regain those features -- other than buying a
new printer -- is to purchase 3rd party software such as www.fineprint.com

Hi,
The driver that is on the XP cd is working but is simple: features that are in the
v10.1 or v10.3 Win98 driver, are not in the XP driver.
The FinePrint software is fine. But I stil have one ( I think) problem:
FinePrint is working with the help of the XP driver. The black color
is compose from the three basic colors and NOT from the black cartridge.
Therefore, when I print a black text with with a single colored word,
all the black text is printed from the color cartridge. And I think this is a driver problem.
If all the text is black, without colored items, only then is using the black cartridge.
On Win98 with the v10.3 driver, it worked ok.
So, I'm looking for a driver on XP that works like the old driver.
Thanx...
