Cannot hibernate

Since my latest XP automatic update, I cannot get my
machine to hibernate. It used to have no problem doing
this. Now, I cannot get the hibernation prompt. Using
Windows Help prompts failed to help.
Any ideas?

Have you made sure "enable hibernation" tick box is ticked in Control
Panel->Performance and Maintenance ->Power Options -> hibernate tab
