I just reloaded WinXP Pro onto my PC. Now I am finding that, whenever I go
into a screensaver (such as 3D Flying Objects) it is taking a LOOONG time
for it to exit back to my main screen. For example, I let the screen saver
become active; it runs fine. When I press a key (or click the mouse) to exit
the screen saver, the screen goes blank for about 2 minutes; then the user
dialog shows up. It takes forever for it to accept the click onto my name;
then it takes another few minutes for it to return back to my main screen.
Once it does, then everthing seems to work fine again - at least till I run
the screensaver.
I did not do this before, so something either is wrong with XP or one of the
stupid Microsoft patches did this. Anyone have any ideas? Before I rebuilt
the screen and screen saver (all 3D ones) worked fine. Any advice
appreciated.
