I had a 9700 pro with 350 watt power supply on an athlon
2700xp and experienced graphics in games that were kinda
wavy. I upgraded my power supply to 550 and bought a
9800XT and still experince that wavy effect. I have the
latest updates and drivers and have played with game and
xp settings and have had no luck. Any advice on how to
correct this? That wavy look occurs when I turn around
in my games. Thanks.

Since you replaced your PS and video card, the only thing left is your
monitor. Do you have a fan or speakers near monitor? Check the forums at:
http://rage3d.com for all info ATI.

This sounds like a well known WinXP bug where the refresh rate is set to 60
Hz during OpenGL/DirectX games. I forget the fix. Try Rage3D.com forums.

Thanks Kent, I will check them. I do have speakers next
to my case and around my monitor. It is a monitor i
bought last year, a NEC-Mitsubishi monitor. This
occurred on my old monitor as well and it was a Magview
monitor. thanks for the advice
