How do I reset the Windows clock?

Double click the clock in the lower left corner of the screen. Make certain
you have the Time Zone set correctly for your locale. You can also use the
Internet Time to have it synchronized periodically.

However a failing CMOS Battery can also be the culprit. These are quite
inexpensive and generally easy to replace

Hi Garrick,

Double click on the time in the right-hand end of the task bar and edit the
time in the dialog that comes up. You can also set your machine to
automatically synchronize to an internet time server on the third tab of
that dialog.
