whats the best way to avoid the ****e junk mail i get?
I've had 60 of them today
What in your opinion is the best course of action to eradicate
junk.
Is there something you have tried and tested and are really happy with the
results?
Is message rules good enough, or maybe use a dedicated program in
conjunction with M\rules.
If you have an opinion on this subject. I for one would be very interested
and im sure other urglers would benefit from reading your replies
TIA

Hello PMc,
Microsoft Office 2003 would have Outlook 2003. With the new Outlook 2003 you
get a Junk Mail filter. I personally find it very useful and powerful.
Microsoft Office 2003 would be available on store shelves in October 2003.
Or you can try a 3rd party program like

Good Luck! If you need more help don't hesitate to email me.

Hi PMc:
I hardly ever get any junk email. My email program is Outlook Express 6.0
under Windows XP Pro.
Here are some of the steps I have taken:
1. I never use my real email address in newsgroup posts.
2. I have a message rule that deletes from the server any incoming email
that does NOT have my real email address in the TO or CC line.
3. I do not use my real email address when "registering" for some
downloadable freebie.
4. I do not reveal my real email address to those I do not know.
5. I ask my friends to NOT include my email address in their mass mailings,
because then the whole world knows it.
I have never needed to use some 3rd party program. Over a period exceeding
10 years, these steps have served me well.
