Can my wife and I both use MSN messenger on the same machine

Hi,

We're new to MSN Messenger. Both my wife and I would like to use it on the same machine using
our own individual logins. I guess what we need is two instances of Messenger running
simultaneously, or at least some kind of fast login switching.

Is this possible (we're using version 6.1)?

Greetings Harrie,

What you'll need to do is setup two Windows XP accounts (see Start, Control Panel, User
Accounts), and then load Messenger in both, then use Fast User Switching to switch between
them.

Alternatively, you could use MSN Messenger and she could use Windows Messenger (or
vice-versa). You can find Windows Messenger at Start, All Programs, Windows Messenger
(assuming it hasn't been uninstalled).

Not a very attractive option, Jonathan. I don't like using separate XP accounts because
there's a lot of software out there that can't deal with it yet. I hope MS will release a
family version of MSN Messenger.
