I have recently encountered a lot of problems with my PC,
it has started locking up and crashing for no apparent
reason. A message comes up that I need to download the
modem driver V124NT.SYS of which I have done. The
problem is my PC tells me it doesn't recognise the .SYS
file and wont unpack it. I have looked for help on the
net but can't seem to find a solution, can you help please?

Dave Johnson.

Hi,

You shouldn't have to unpack it, just copy it to the
\windows\system32\drivers directory and overwrite the existing file (if
there is one).
