I have the application recovery cd(s) and the systyem recovery cd(s). The System Recovery appears to me that it is going to rewrite my entire hard drive. The data is all on my hard drive so I would hate to wipe it clean and have to reload software, get th
e connection to the internet, rebuild favorites and email addresses etc. The Application recovery cd won't work because it says it is not made for my kind of computer. I am guessing that my sony vaio is going to need a sony varo startup disk. I found on th
e internet that you can download startup disks for generic computers but not for sony. We have moved and now the start up disks are not to be found so I don't know what to do. Help?
