What does XP Pro use for a dictionary? Is it okay to use something from the
internet as a dictionary? Something like this:
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/dict.shtml
When you do a spell check and it says a word is mis-spelled, where does it
store all of this info and how can I get to it and modify or whatnot?
Thanks.

Hi
Personally I have one of the MS Office Suites installed, so can't =
comment on the link you provided.
The words added are stored in a file called 'custom.dic' - which can be =
found in the Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application =
Data\Microsoft\Proof folder. It is just a text file which can be opened =
in Notepad.

You can modify your custom dictionary within Outlook, tools, options, spelling tab,
edit custom dictionary button.
Outlook uses the dictionary that is with the Office suite or Works.

This will not work. Go to help and support and type in the word
spelling for more insight.

Searching for spelling under help and support did not bring up anything that
helped. The one that is in Outlook tools only applies to outlook, what about
the one for word and everything else? Are they all separate dictionaries or
something? Anyone? Thanks.
