At first the floppy drive would work when I was using ME
now when I upgraded to xp, it work for a while but now I
get A:\ not accessible Incorrect function, now I just
tried my cd, and dvd the cd\burner also reads the same
thing now the dvd doesn't do anything, I've tried
downloading updates on the web for drivers nothing
happens, aslo updates on the mother board. Can anyone let
me know how to fix this, I do save a lot of files on all
storage units.

Thanks

Are they showing up in the BIOS? In the Device Manager? What does Disk
Management say about the drives?

Right click on My Computer and select Manage... on the following screen,
select Disk Management.

They should show up on the right hand side of the screen.

For the CD/DVD drives, see also Alex Nichol's magic fix:

Cari, I found that, now the c: drive is in white, and the
cd-roms are not which say's no media in the square , do I
need to add to the system to make this work? I'm kind of
lost here.....
