I am having a problem searching the C:\Windows directory. Whenever I start
searching for a file, the search keeps going on endlessly for hours. I try
to hit Stop and it won't stop. While searching, it is encountering weird
file names that do NOT exist in that Windows directory. It is finding many
file names that use a forward slash rather than a backslash. For example,
it will show it is searching in the fr/koala directory. I don't think
there is ever a forward slash directory within a normal folder. I have
virus scanned and done a checkdisk.
Searches of everything but the Windows directory are proceeding fine.
Any ideas or resources?
Thank you.
