View Full Version : Remove "Confirm Shortcut Delete"

When I remove a shortcut off my desktop XP always says "umm...just so you
know, you're not deleting the program, just the shortcut..." Well, yeah, I
know that.
Is there any way to shut that off? I find it terribly annoying and slightly
insulting. Granted, it's not a trauma, but still...it's annoying...lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have also been wondering about this for some time. I can't find
anything in the knowledge base or with a google search! I'll keep
looking but if anyone knows the answer please post.
tia!

Hi Doreen,
If you
1) Right click on the 'Recycle Bin'
2) Click 'Properties'
3) Uncheck 'Display delete confirmation dialog'
4) Click 'OK'
Dialog box should not appear now when you delete anything.
