XP OBCD DSN setup

First of all, let me know if I should post this in another forum. I'm having
trouble Getting my OBDC DSNs to work in XP. I believe it might have to do
with permisisons and not understanding the difference between User DSN and
system DSN.

I've looked at the XP general tutorials but am not getting anywhere. Is
there a methodical tutorial or fact sheet that can walk me through how to
set up my XP permissions and OBDC so I can run IIS server with Database on
my machine.(Not concerned with network wide at this time. I FTP to a network
server and that is not giving me a problem.)

Connection strings work fine.

Not on a network, just on a single machine.
