Please, if I could get a pointer to getting this problem solved, I would be
most grateful.
OS. is WinXP Pro. Problem just started recently, as follows: When
reading here and there is a link quoted to open a web page, I click on the
link, but nothing happens. Used to take me to the particular web page but
this has now stop working. How can I get this to work again please.
Thanks

When you mouse over the link, what text do you see in the status bar? It
could be that the links are being executed through javascript, and you have
javascript turned off. Alternately, it could be trying to open in a new
window, and you have some kind of popup stopper running. Try checking
Security under Internet Options to see if you have active scripting enabled.
