View Full Version : upgrade 98 to xp - plz help a newbie!

98 was fat32. xp is ntfs. if you truly upgraded, you
would have had an option to save some fat32 stuff, but
quite frankly NTFS puts a bunch of darn zeros where your
data was. Did you upgrade XP as FAT32 or NTFS?. THey
won't talk to each other. I've done this to 3 or 4
machines and don't quite remember any recovery options
but check with jupiter jones in this forum. He's an MVP
and purty darn smart. also check marfer notes, kelly's
korner and doug knox.
