Some progs use mobo beeper instead of sound card

Most of my applications use my Creative sound card and speakers just fine
(great in fact) but for some reason MS Money uses the mobo beeper instead.

Is this likely to be MS Money making the wrong calls? Wrong settings in the
OS or ??
