Yups, it means they are compressed and stored on your hard disk to save
space.

Those indicate files or folders that re expected to get little use and
have been compressed. Most likely the folders of files needed for
uninstalling Hotfix updates - named $NTUninstallQxxxxxx$

No no Paras....we may be depressed....but....we are not compressed. And, if
we are saved, it is not it is not to his hard drive. Trust me. While I
can't speak for all, I think this year we are still into saving
earth......next year we're saving space. 'k? ;-)

Blue generally indicates that the file has been compressed. Rt-click on one
of the files, and check it;s properties.. under advanced..

It means their compressed. Leave them alone, unless you're so anal that you
have to have them show up in black.

The default setting in XP is to show compressed files in blue.

You can enable/disable this option. In Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder
Options, View, Show encrypted and compressed files in color.
