I have an IBM Aptiva AMD k6 266, 63mgs ram, 40 GB. I don't
find this on the compatibility list. I have XP Pro and
don't plan on upgrading hardware in the near future. Does
anyone know for sure if I can upgrade to XP Pro or is it
not worth it on this machine?

Even 98SE had a recommended RAM of 128MB!!!!!!
Don't bother unless you can upgrade the RAM to at LEAST 256MB.

I would not bother installing XP on this machine:
266MHz is lower than the Minimum of 300Mhz
63Mb of RAM is too low to run XP, you need a at least 128M, preferably
256Mb or more!
Stick with 98.
