can't get my downloads

I ordered ezines from a site. When I click on the
download link just a white page comes up and it says
done.When I right click, I save to my download folder. It
will show 0 bytes in the folder. Nothing is being
downloaded. I have win xp and aol.The site says to have a
winzip and Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have all that. Why
can't I get the downloads.

Hi Jane,

Suggestions:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and see what is listed under the key below: Many
have claimed that the culprit is listed there.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions

Go to IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Uncheck Enable third-party browser
extentions.

If you using any third party download manager, disable or uninstall. If you
are using a Firewall program, check the settings. (Tiny is known for this).
If you using an "Ad" filter program disable it and see if downloads work.

re you saving to YOUR download folder, or to the download folder
within the AOL folder?

I strongly recomend you to use Internet Download Manager for your
downloads to avoid such problems. IDM is the best Ive seen yet!. Very
easy to use. Uses multiple connections so u always get the fastest
server.
