View Full Version : Disc burning experience

Hello. We have a new Dell computer, running XP Home Edition SP1. It
has a CR-RW drive, powered by Roxio software, which has been updated to the
latest version.

I have been testing the burning capabilities of this computer by
copying audio CD's onto blank CD-RW discs. I've tested about 10 audio CD's
so far, and about 8 have been successfully copied. However, the computer
froze up during the copying of one disc, always at the same spot, and while
copying another disc, I got an 'unexpected error' message. I tried cleaning
the disc, and got the same error message, at the same interval, track 7.

Anyway, does this sound like a problem with the audio disc itself? Or
could it be a problem with the CR-RW drive, or a software issue? Like I
said, most CD's copy fine.

have never been to happy with Roxio's cd copy but to help make things run
more smoothly make sure that you select to copy to hard drive
first...clonecd works great and they even offer a free demo of it...

I don't believe that you are using the correct media. CD-RW disks
are used for packet writing.
