How do I change the name the computer is registered to?
Currently it says in the system screen of control panel
that the computer is registered to: STUDENT, but I would
like to change that so that all my folders, etc. will
also change to a different name. How would I go about
doing that?

Greetings --
To fix the "Registered to" information for WinNT/2K/XP, you can use
Start > Run > Regedit.exe to edit:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\RegisteredOwner
and:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
Version\RegisteredOrganization
