I am trying to install a mouse on my husband's computer and have tried several types without success. The pointer just will not move! When I go to system nothing shows as being installed. When the computer is first started the following message comes up

Hardware monitor found an error - enter POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP for details.
Well when I go there there aren't any details that are specific. I don't know what to change when I am there so I have only reset the default settings but that doesn't work either.
Any suggestions would be very welcome!
