I was wondering if there was a way in XP Home to double
check what security updates/patches are
downloaded/installed on the system. Do these reside in a
folder somewhere? I always download the updates when the
computer alerts me they are available, but I'd like to
double check that I haven't missed any. Thank you!

Hello Swiss,
You can just simply go back to Windows Update (Start -> All Programs ->
Windows Update) and then click scan for updates. A list of available
updates that *are not installed on your machine* will appear. This is how
you can tell if you have them all.
If you want to see what you currently have installed to to the control panel
under Add/Remove Programs and scroll down near the bottom and you will see a
list of the hotfixes and their numbers.
Hope this helps,
Francis

You can also go to Windows Update, under Other Options click on View
Installation History and it will list the history of all your updates.

Francis;
The list in Add/Remove Programs is incomplete.
It does not include patches that can not be uninstalled.
Use View Installation History from Windows Update instead.
